Maja

Beside of Royaume-Uni and Pays Bas there is another strang sounding country in the Eurovision: Bosnia Hercegovina. They have had their debut in 1993. The former Yugoslav province had never shaped up well, in spite of 1999 when Dino & Beatrice sang "Putnici" they could bring it to the 7th rank. The Bosnian mostly brought typical Bosnian music styles to Eurovision, which were quite melancholy or bad balkan-pop. Unfortunately it is the same situation in this year!

Maja was born in 1970 in Belgrade, with seven years she attended the children festival in Banja Luka. Since her time in school she is playing the guitar. She started her singing career with the age of 17. She joined several rock and popgroups and moved to the Canary Island in 1992, where she recorded a cd and covered Céline Dion and Tina Turner.

She is a very sympathic woman and entertained the participants during the Eurovision week with singing in the Euro club. Nevertheless the chances to win are quite unrealistic!
