Participant(s): Brinck Song: Believe Again Writer(s): Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Michael Larsson, Ronan Keating Composer(s): Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Michael Larsson, Ronan Keating
Denmark is partcipating since 1957 and has won two times already: “Dansevise” by Grethe and Jorgen Ingman (1963) and “Fly on the wings of love” by Olsen Brothers (2000)! Between 1966 and 1978 Denmark has interrupted it’s attendance due to the lack of music quality. In the history many have complained that the juries of the Scandinavian countries have been cheating with the points. Recently it was not possible anymore due to the televoting system. This year, there will be a mix of traditional juries and televoting to make it all even more exciting and to avoid Eastern Block or Scandinavian Block voting. If the new rule will succeed is the big question of the year.
Brinck is the hope for Denmark this year. The catchy song “Believe again” has been co-written by popular singer and composer Ronan Keating and himself. Ronan has already hosted the 1997 ESC in Dublin and has also appeared on stage in the interval act with Boyzone. With all his Eurovision experiences Brinck can go to Moscow easily. The song is a modern radio song, which has not the typical Eurovision style. The attractive singer has a great charisma and a lot of capability and his voice sounds similar to Ronan’s. This is a TOP 10 candidate.
