It was the 17th Junior Eurovision Song Contest already, this year from the Silesian town called Gliwice in Poland. 19 countries took part in this year’s edition of the children version of the Eurovision Song Contest. Interesting to see that countries like Kazakhstan and Wales took part as well.
Unlike the adult version the winning countries does not automatically is hosting the next JESC. In the picturesque town of Gliwice the host entry “Superhero”by Viki Gabor could win the contest for a second time in a row.
The second place and favourite by the juries was Kazakhstan Armanyńnan qalma (Арманыңнан Қалма) by Yerzan Maksim, third place went to Spain “Marte”by Melani Garcia. The Polish Television has put a lot of effort in this production, a great stage and interesting well-made postcards.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
