There is another big round of national finals this weekend. For the fifth time this year we are awaiting several more decisions, who will represent their country in Tel Aviv?
On Friday, Germany will have its national final “Unser Lied für Israel”. Seven hopefuls will join the Berlin stage together with special guests like the German winner Lena Meyer-Landruth (“Satellite”, 2010), last year’s representative Michael Schulte (“You Let Me Walk Alone”, 2018, 4th). Furthermore there will be some very popular and succesful German singers involved like Udo Lindenberg, Revolverheld and Andreas Burani.

Saturday, we will have four national finals. Denmark will send the “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix” from the former ESC bid city Herning with 10 contestants.
Hungary will have its sixth and final night of “A Dal” with 8 finalists. There is also the former Hungarian representative Joci Papai (“Origo”, 2017, 8th).
After two Semi Finals, the Ukraine will also have its Grand Final with “Vibidr” with six candidates. And finally Lithuania – with the longest lasting qualification method of seven shows will also decide the representative for Tel Aviv. We will see eight acts in the final.
Furthermore Sweden will have its fourth show with some top class artists like Arvingarna (“Eloise”, 1993, 7th), Anton Hagman, John Lundvik (who is also the composer for the UK entry this year) and Lisa Ajax.
Last but not least, last year’s host country Portugal will air its second semi final with eight more canditates.
