The Estonian national final Eestilaul was show worth to watch. There were ten exciting entries and an entertaining show programme with funny “commercial clips” as well as Måns Zelmerlöw presenting his new single “Glorious” and he also performed his ESC winning entry “Heroes” in front of an enthused crowd. In the super final there were Karl-Kristjan & Whogaux feat. Maian with “Have You Now”, Kerli with “Spirit Animal” and Koit Tomme & Laura with “Verona”. Kerli was leading after the juries have given their votes. The jury was located in the Saku Suurhall so the sound might have been different to the TV and internet viewers, as Kerli did not hit a single tone, this was probably overheard in the arena.
The lucky winner of the Eestilaul 2017 was the duet “Verona” sung by former ESC singer from 1998Koit Tomme & Laura. This song may appears a bit old fashioned but it had one of the most recognizable melodies.

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
