The Danish national final Melodi Grand Prix took place in one of the bidding cities 2014 Herning. Out of 10 contestants the expert jury which also included the Danish fan club and the Danish televoting determined Anja Nissen with the power ballad “Where I Am” as the Danish representative for Kiev.
The show was a real highlight in the time of national finals, as it showed a high standard of show production and song quality. Many of the songs could have been the one to represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest. At the end a ballad has won the competition. Anja Nissen has already tried to enter the Danish final last year with “Never Alone”.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
