This year’s ESC motto and logo has been revealed: „Celebrate Diversity“. This is a very powerful message of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. Diversity can be interpreted in many ways, where people, opinions and tastes might differ there can always be found a common sense, especially for a music festival like this.
The logo in blue and red consist of a Ukrainian bead necklace called “Namysto”, where every single bead has a different design and reflects the Ukrainian culture and modern society, which is open for others, in this case it’s meant for Europe: all different singers, fans from all different countries should come to Kiev with their songs and otherness. As usual the logo is a vivid pattern which can change shapes and colours for multiuse purpose. That combination is an interesting mix of traditional and modern elements and will strongly be visible in the city of Kiev as well as in the live shows.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
