Dami was born in South Korea in 1988. In the age of nine she moved together with her family to Brisbane, Australia. Dami has studied the piano and violin and achieved many awards for young artists. After recording her first album she participated in the X-Factor show, which she won. After that she had several smash hits “Alive” has even been #1 in Australia.
The song “Sound Of Silence” is power ballad with a good rhythm and a very catchy chorus. Dami is proofing that her crystal clear voice can be a goose-bumps guarantee in Stockholm. The song is about an absent lover and the longing for him. The song writers David Musumeci und Anthony Egizi (DNA songs) are very successful in Australia and have already written songs for Ricky Martin, Delta Goodrem and Jessica Mauboy. “Sound Of Silence” will be one of the big favourites in Stockholm. Good choice Australia!

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
