Since one year there is a new touristic highlight in Copenhagen. The aquarium is called “The Blue Planet” and is the biggest one in Northern Europe. This is not only a normal aquarium it’s a very modern way to take a deep dive into the world of fish and living animal beyond the sea.
The highlights of the fish aquarium are the Hammerheads and devilfish as well as the piranhas.
Beside of the interesting water tanks which contain a coral reef and a piranha basin with a live animal feeding there is much more to explore such as special shows and lectures for children, a petting basin where you can touch crabs, corals and starfish.
In consideration of the environmental change and the exploitation of the sea, Denmark is of course a fish producing country, this museum has the aim to preserve the species and exhibit the most interesting.
The striking architecture is built close the Copenhagen airport facing the sea. For future purposes the building can be extended in various directions, maybe for a bigger water tank.
The aquarium also contains a lovely restaurant where you can also have fish.
