What a masterpiece of Danish design this year’s Eurovision stage is symbolizing! The quadratic shape and the cage background suit together with this year’s ESC logo the diamond. The whole stage is surrounded by water. A large LED screen covers not only the back of the stage; it also fills out the outer corners on the sides in the seating area. Furthermore there are several catwalks for various purposes of the individual performances. The stage floor will be illuminated with a new technique which can bring additional effects.
With this phenomenal size all expectations will be exceeded. In 2001 the Danes put the event in the biggest arena – a football stadium – ever. This year the stage is even as big as the one in Moscow. Maybe it’s a bit too big and solo singers might feel lost there!
The green room is located within the seating area, which also means that there are fewer seats for the audience. That’s a pity as it was hard to get tickets for the Grand Final.
