In 1994 Lithuania has joined the Eurovision family; these are 20 years in total –that’s worth to celebrate. The Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has made a special show to celebrate the Lithuanian contributions over the years. In these 20 years there were 14 entries the Lithuanians are proud of. You can watch the entire show in when following the link below.
In this show you can see familiar faces of all the Lithuanian contributions. The original songs were covered by this year’s Eurovision hopes for Lithuania accompanied by a live band. In short films all the entries have been teased and then performed by the 2014 singers.
Lithuania had its debut in 1994 with “Lopsine Mylimai” by Ovidijus Vyniauskas. The first Lithuanian entry did not get any points this was undeserved. This Baltic country never won the ESC, but in recent years Lithuania could reach the grand finals quite often. Lithuania reached the final six times and the best place was #6 with LT United “We are the winners” in 2006. Lithuania will participate in Copenhagen 2014 and this will be the 15th contribution in the ESC.
