This year the Eurovision Song Contest takes place in a relatively small city. Many people wondered why Stockholm or Gothenburg have not been chosen. Malmö seemed to be the perfect location to downsize the mega event. The newly build Friends Arena in Stockholm has no optimal surroundings to accommodate all the need to organize a Eurovision Song Contest. Everything should be more comprehensible and a lot of attractions have a short distance and it’s easy to reach things by walking. There are plenty of bicycles in this city.
Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden and due to the excellent sutstainability it has become the 5th greenest city of the world!
Congratulations. This is mainly due to the clean water, the garbage solution and low scale emissions in regards of air and water pollution.
The green concept is also taken over for the Eurovision Song Contest. The tap water is so clean that you can drink it everywhere in and around the city. The superb water quality makes the coffee and tea tasting better. Furthermore there are a lot of fair trade products used inside the ESC venue. And the entire city and population is very proud on this.
