This weekend will be full of Eurovision shows. There is the national final in Ireland tonight. This will be traditionally held in the Late Late show in a very relaxed way in RTE TV studio, with a medium number of seats. Normally former Eurovision singers will get on stage, a Eurovision related jury is invited (formerly Niamh Kavanagh, Brian Kennedy, etc.) and there will be televoting and juries from different parts of the country. This will be the only final this weekend, but there are some semi finals which might be interesting.
The last semi-final in Sweden will take place in this year’s ESC host city Malmö, with the last eight candidates. The most well-known artists are The Army of Lovers, which had numerous hits in the European charts in the 90’s. The second semi final in Estonia might bring some more interesting candidates, as well as in Hungary. And there will be two semi final in Romania this weekend. The hosts Paula Seling & Ovi are also known as they have been representing Romania in 2010 with “Playing With Fire”, who reached the best position for Romania ever – the 3rd rank.
