In the Melodi Grand Prix – the Norwegian national final Margaret Berger has been chosen to by jury and televoting to represent Norway with the song “I Feed You My Love” at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. There were three semi final shows in Steinkjer, Florø, Larvik and the big final Oslo. The final show traditionally hosted in the Oslo Spectrum, where the ESC 96 took place, consisted of ten songs which have qualified over the last weeks.
Out of the ten finalists there were four entries chosen for the super final. At the end the winning entry received 50% of all the votes. Judged by the other competitors this result shows that the winning song has been far the best. None of the other songs would have had chance in the international competition in Malmö.
Loreen has been a special guest. She has been performing the song “My Heart Is Refusing Me” in a very well choreographed version. The song has been in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, but not reached the final in 2011.
Have a look:
The winning song “I Feed You My Love” has a very futuristic synthie pop approach with a strong rhythm and striking key notes. An interesting performance though.
