As reported earlier, Switzerland, Belgium and Belarus have already announced the songs for Malmo. Even if Belarus has declared the winning song, it’s going to be changed again. The singer Alyona has made this issue through last year and had to step back for the group Litesound. This year she can represent Belarus, but not with “Rhythm of Love”, another song will be revealed soon.
In the meanwhile there are more and more announcements of hopeful participants for this year’s ESC. In the upcoming national finals the line ups are already revealed. Beside of Denmark’s singer Brinck there are no repeaters so far. Brinck has been the Danish representative in Moscow 2009 and made a respectable 13th place in the grand final. The Danish final will be broadcasted this Saturday on www.dr.dk.
These are the new announcements: for Armenia it’s Gor Sujyan, for France it’s Amandine Bourgois with the song “L'Enfer Et Moi”, for FYR Macedonia these are Esma & Vlatko, for Georgia these are Nodi Tatishvili & Sophie Gelovani. In the Lithuanian pre selection the electro pop song “Something” by Andrius Pojavis has been chosen by public and juries. The singer is wearing a top hat and the entire performance looks a little bit like a circus. A good choreography is mandatory for a qualification into the grand final in Malmö. Not a bad choice, the arrangement reminds a bit of the Swiss entry 2009 “The highest Heights” by Lovebugs, who did not make it into the final.
The Albanian television has organised a Grand National final like every year. At the end Adrian Lulgjuraj & Bledar Sejko could convince with the song “Identiet (Identity)”. This is a rock song with folkloristic elements. The four minute version has to be shortened to three minutes.
For the Ukraine Zlata Ognevich will be the representative with the song “Gravity”. This song will be sung in English and is a power ballad with a modern rhythm.
