After an exciting second heat the Eurovision Song Contest has reached another climax with a very strong Semi Final 2. These are the 10 qualifying countries:
Lithuania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine, Sweden, Macedonia, Norway, Estonia, Malta and Turkey.
In the following press conference the remaining open slots for the Grand Final have been determined by a draw. The singers have picked the envelopes with the according numbers and this is how it looks in the final, a very good mixture of slow and fast songs, very balanced Eastern and Western European countries and no lengthiness at all:
#1 United Kingdom, #2 Hungary, #3 Albania, #4 Lithuania, 5# Bosnia & Herzegovina, 6# Russia, #7 Iceland, #8 Cyprus, #9 France, #10 Italy, #11 Estonia, #12 Norway, #13 Azerbaijan, #14 Romania, #15 Denmark, #16 Greece, #17 Sweden, #18 Turkey, #19 Spain, #20 Germany, #21 Malta, #22 Macedonia, #23 Ireland, #24 Serbia, #25 Ukraine, #26 Moldova
The big surprise is that Slovenia and Croatia did not make it as well as the Netherlands. On the other hand Lithuania, Estonia, Malta and Macedonia were the surprisingly successful.
One of the highlights in this semi final has been the interval act with the last five winning entries with Alexander Rybak, Maria Serifovic, Dima Bilan, Lena and Ell & Nikki.
