According to the EBU press conference the future of the Eurovision Song Contest is secured. Due to the high costs, the time consuming rehearsal schedules might be changed in future to save money.
The dates for the 58th ESC have already been determined: 14th May (1st Semi Final), 16th May (2nd Semi Final) and 18th May 2013 for the Grand Final. In the first semi final of this year’s contest there have been some acoustic problems with the Romanian singers of Mandinga. Nevertheless Romania has qualified so there is no bigger issue.
In the year 2015 the ESC will be celebrating it’s 60th anniversary. Some broadcasters have already shown their interest as a host broadcaster.
