Yesterday, the ESC 2012 has opened its doors for the first singer from the semi finals, journalists and fans. The busy time of rehearsals and press conferences has started. From now on Baku and Azerbaijan are in the topics of the international media, reporting about the Eurovision Song Contest. The stage has been revealed and the delegations could test the latest technology which is used this year, for example 3D background. The stage consists of different geometric elements; it appears a bit smaller as last year. A burning chilli is used before every entry to keep the motto of the show “Lite your fire”.
The sound quality needs to be improved. On the first day there also has been a hindrance of two hours, which has caused a delay of the official start the reason was a bicycle event.
The press centre and the Crystal Hall still look a bit empty, but there are more delegations and journalists to come in the next days. The organisation especially with the immigration at the airport has been reported as smooth and there are many helping volunteers everywhere, the sun is shining and the Euro Club has opened its doors.
