The second Semi Final has come to an end tonight. After another exciting show in Düsseldorf, ten entries could save the spot for the final: DinoMerlin from Bosnia & Herzegovina (#2), Nadine Beiler from Austria (#18), Mika Newton from Ukraine , Zdob si Zdub from Moldova (#15), Eric Saade from Sweden, Maja from Slovenia, Hotel FM from Romania (#17), Getter Jaani from Estonia (#8), A Friend in London from Denmark (3) and Jedward from Ireland (#6). The biggest shock of the night is that Dana International former Eurovision winter did not make it into the final. Good to see that other countries, which were unlucky in recent years could be seen in the Grand final like Austria, Slovenia and Estonia. As mentioned earlier, the organizers have the possibility to increase the excitement with choosing the order of opening the envelopes.
Chief Editor of eurovisionlive.com
About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
