The EBU has confessed that there were problems in several countries with the commentaries during the first five songs. The problem was that all of the first five countries did not make it into the final. The EBU and the host broadcaster NDR make 100% sure that there are enough backup solutions e.g. doing the commentaries via telephone in such a situation. All other lines concerning the transmission of the music to all the countries in stereo tone and Dolby 5.1. There might be some sound issues in Sweden. But there is nothing planned that they perform again, Mr. Schreiber from NDR estimated that they have done their very best and the commentators are highly important for the success of the shows.
Chief Editor of eurovisionlive.com
About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
