Every participant need the attention of the press, the more they stand out of the others the great the interest is. Firstly the Portuguese group Homens de Luta looks very striking like the Portuguese version of the Village People (YMCA); secondly they all appear as comedians very funny though. In the press conferences as well as the interviews they answer the questions in a singing way. Very funny and clever. Nobody has ever done it like this before. The groups received a lot of criticism in the beginning months ago, but the funny and friendly way really brings back all the sympathy. People who watch the ESC must be not only open for new music from different countries, it’s also very important to show tolerance in every matter.

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
