On Tuesday night, Europe has decided which countries should go to the big final on Saturday: Israel, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Malta, Turkey, Romania and Finland. Most of the countries have already been high in the bets before. Surprisingly Portugal, Romania and Finland made it into the final, and Switzerland. Of course, all countries which did not make it are disappointed. RalphSiegel’s contribution for Montenegro has also not convinced as well as the pop song from Andorra and the rock song from Macedonia. Their starting slots for the final have been determined by a draw in the winner’s press conference as follows: Israel (2.), Sweden (4.), Portugal (6.), Iceland (7.), Armenia (9.), Bosnia & Herzegovina (12.), Malta (14.), Turkey (18.), Romania (22.) and Finland (24.).
Chief Editor of eurovisionlive.com
About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
