Tonight Europe decides which 10 countries of the first semi final will qualify for the big final on Saturday. The second semi final will take place on Thursday. During the last rehearsals, there were huge technical problems with the sound and in the schedule. Gisela from Andorra had to wait almost two minutes before she could start with her songs. Many people consider this first semi final weaker as the second one, but that's always a matter of taste. These are the favorites of the journalist here in Belgrade for the tonight's show: 1. Greece, 2. Russia, 3. Israel, 4. Romania, 5. Armenia, 6. Norway, 7. Azerbaijan, 8. Slovenia, 9. Bosnia & Herzegovina and 9. Poland.
Chief Editor of eurovisionlive.com
About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
