Now the day of the days has come – the 50th Eurovision Song Contest will be held at 21.00 CET and broadcasted all over the world. The atmosphere is great and you can feel that there is the certain tenseness. This a truly act of state – no less then Ukraine's President Jutschenko is going to hand over the winner trophy – a golden fern! German singer Gracia is far behind in the bettings, but as we all know from Eurovision history you can rely on that bettings anymore. Due to rumours Norway has won the semifinal and let the others far behind. Walther from Latvia had no voice anymore and Kazha had to sing alone last night during the rehearsal. But tonight they will both sing for sure. Generally said this years final is quite rocky and ballads are in the minority. The taste of music has definitely changed a lot over the years.

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
