The motto of the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam is “Open Up”, this has been announced a while ago. Now the artwork of the logo has been revealed. It shows a circle with coloured fragments. It symbolizes the flags of the countries which have joined in the history of the 65th contest year by year.

In all the previous ESC’s broadcasted in the Netherlands, the logo always showed a round logo, so it’s a familiar logo this year as well. The design is very minimalistic and cannot be understood by first the first look at it, it’s important to see what it’s really behind it.
You will find the very adaptable logo in the shows and even beyond on banners, ads and the city of Rotterdam will be coloured with this logo also on trams, buses, etc.

About me: My first Eurovision I watched was in 1987, Brussels. Since then I am following the ESC with great enthusiasm. The greatest fascination for me is the fact that the entire Europe is watching the show at that specific night. Since 2010, Oslo I am a member of the eurovisionlive.com team. I had the chance to witness the second German victory with Lena. My biggest wish would be to have the orchestra back, as it used to be until 1998.
