The Hungarian selection process for Eurovision so called “A Dal” has become a real insider’s tip and it’s the eights edition already. Over the years the music show has become more and more popular. Also great to see that everything can be watched in the internet which attracts millions of viewers. Another point it that Hungary really wants to win the ESC and is putting a lot of effort to deliver a superb song to represent the country in Israel.
The host of the show is the former ESC representative Freddiwith “Pioneer” (19th in Stockholm 2016), together with Boli Dallos, also a former participant of A Dal. There will four jurors Feró Nagy, Lilla Vincze, Misi Mező and Miklós Both which will give their comments right after every song presentation. At the end the public can vote via televoting. Altogether there are four heats with ten acts each, then there will be a semi final and a grand final. One of this year’s competitors is Joci Papai, who made a really good 8th rank in Kiev with “Origo”.
These are the first ten candidates:
Barni Hamar - "Wasted"
DENIZ - "Ide várnak vissza"
Gergő Oláh - "Hozzád bújnék"
Gergő Szekér - "Madár, repülj!"
Konyha - "Százszor visszajátszott"
László Váray - "Someone Who Lives Like This"
Nomad - "A remény hídjai"
Olivér Berkes - "Világítótorony"
Rozina Pátkai -"Frida"
Timi Antal feat. Gergő Demko - "Kedves Világ!"
There will be a live stream to watch the show, which starts at 19.30 CET

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
