Today the Big 5 countries Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany and France plus the host country Portugal are having their first rehearsals. Interesting to see reactions in the press centre of the first stage presentations. The German and the Portuguese entries both received the biggest applause, while the UK and Spain suffered from non-observance.
The German entry “You Let Me Walk Alone” sung by Michael Schulte has a wonderful dark stage. A video wall shows symbols of the lyrics as well as photos from fathers with their sons. A great climax is also visually added in a clever, decent but touching way. A great production. This will definitely not be the last place in the Grand Final.
