The Dutch broadcater AVROTROS has also made an internal selection for the Eurovision entry 2018. They have picked no less than Waylon, who is very popular in the Netherlands and also represented the country together with Ilse de Lange as The Common Linnets in Copenhagen 2014. With “Calm After The Storm” they were very close to win the ESC, at the end they came second, but the song has become a radio hit.
There were five songs Waylon had to offer. The public’s favourite was “Outlaw In ‘Em”, a total different song to the one from 2014, showing Waylon’s musical roots.

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
