The new year has started with sad news. The French singer France Gall has died in the age of 70. France Gall has represented Luxembourg in 1965 with “Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son” (composed by Serge Gainsbourg) and could win the Eurovision Song Contest that year. She has become a very successful singer internationally. She worked together with Michel Berger. The most popular songs of France Gall were “Ella, elle l’a” and “Babacar”.
Rest in peace and we will keep you in good memories.

About me: My first Eurovision I watched was in 1987, Brussels. Since then I am following the ESC with great enthusiasm. The greatest fascination for me is the fact that the entire Europe is watching the show at that specific night. Since 2010, Oslo I am a member of the eurovisionlive.com team. I had the chance to witness the second German victory with Lena. My biggest wish would be to have the orchestra back, as it used to be until 1998.
