Due to the fact that Germany came last in the Eurovision Song Contest twice lately, the German broadcaster NDR has decided to make big changes in the selection of the German entry. Therefore 100 music fans have been taken as “Eurovision-Panel” to make a pre-decision out of 211 entries (4000 submitted entries) as well as an international expert jury. In the first round 17 hopefuls have been chosen and in the second round these six finalists have been determined: Xavier Darcy, Ivy Quainoo, Ryk, Michael Schulte, Natia Todua and voXXclub.
The German national final will held in the Adlershof Studio in Berlin on 22nd February, 2018. The host is not determined yet, as well as the songs.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
