The preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest are in full swing. In the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev the stage is almost finished. Exactly one month the Grand Final will be broadcasted from here. In a few day the stage will be ready with all it’s functions and effects. After that the technical rehearsals will take place.
The stage will be 14 metres high and 28 metres width and has a weight of 70 tons. Almost 1800 spotlights will illuminate the stage. The middle section can be moved up and down just how the performance needs it.

About me: Due to the fact that my parents are musicians, I have a gained a great enthusiasm for music. Since 1979 my interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has grown enormously. My first ESC I joined was in Dublin 1995. Six years later I founded the website eurovisionlive.com in the year 2001. The most fascinating part for me is the original idea of the Eurovision Song Contest – the peaceful contest of the European countries. I am very happy that I have the chance to contribute my little part for the greatest music show in the world.
