Information about the singer

Without any doubt, Romania has proofed as one of the strongest Eurovision countries recently. Romania has always been qualified for the final or at least received such a good rank that the qualification for the next year was granted. Having such a good hand in the choice for pan European music is a gift. Even if the majority of the Europeans don’t know much about Romanian pop music, at least at Eurovision Romania is absolutely modern and has the most contemporary music styles to present in front an audience of more than 500 million TV spectators.

Also this year Romania will proof it’s contemporary music with “The Balkan Girls”. It’s a real catchy tune which will probably get a lot of votes especially by the Balkan neighbour countries. The melody is really unforgettable and stays in your head for a long time. The beautiful singer Elena has also Romanian-Macedonian roots and so she is a Balkan girl from head to toe. The video clip is groovy and the style of this is exactly that what can be heard from all radio stations around Europe. This will be one of the definite qualifiers for the final.
