Information about the singer

This is already the fourth time that Bulgaria is participating at the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s similar to Romania, in a way they have nothing to lose and they are more than free to send new ideas and melodies to the contest. Last year Bulgaria has received the best result ever, qualified from the semifinal and came 5th in the Final with the special percussion performance called “Water”. People don’t want to see copies they want to see new things with originality and that will be honoured with points!

The interest in the Eurovision Song Contest is not that high in Bulgaria, but through such good experiments there might be some increase.

The song for Bulgaria this year is called “DJ, take me away”. It’s a scratched RnB animated song which consists of two parts, the scratched part and the refrain part with a catchy melody sung by a woman. It’s not the first time that a country tries to send such a mixture of two songs, last year Poland tried something likewise and failed. But due to the fact that it sounds very 2008 this song should not underestimated.
