Information about the singer

Since the year 2000 Latvia is a strong member in the Eurovision family. Well established, because MarieN could bring the crown to Latvia with “I wanna” in the year 2003. There is always a little surprise with Latvia. Sometimes it seems that the interest is not that high in the contest, but through the entries’ versatility originality is brought into Eurovision. Last year there was an A-capella-group, and this year there are opera singers. The funny thing is that they won’t sing in Latvian or English, “Questa Notte” will be sung in Italian. Italy does not even take part anymore. Cyprus will sing in French and Norway will sing in Spanish. If the different language will bring the countries further, we all will know after the contest.
“Questa Notte” is a strong song with a great climax. It’s not compareable with one of the other songs. Slovenia is also using opera elements, but the song is completely different. Is Europe ready for opera in Eurovision?
