Information about the singer

If you think of French Eurovision entries, ballads will come up to your mind. But can you really imagine France without a ballad? Of course France has many talented artists who don’t fit into the typical chanson genre. For example the music of Fredric Goldman as well as Mylène Farmer stand for a very French style, which is not based on chanson only.
Comparing the results of the last years, France has fallen down enormously. “L’oiseau et l’enfant” sung by Marie Myriam has been the last victor and that’s already 30 years ago! Last year we had to watch the 20th version of copying Céline Dion with a dreary ballad, sung by an absolute unknown singer without experience. But this year France is going to show it’s versatility again. A fresh and motivated band is going to bring France back to the track. The song is untypical and a bit comparable with this year’s Romanian entry. Even Cyprus will send a French song. So it’s going to be very exciting how France will shape up with “L’amour á la Francaise”. Bonne chance!
