Information about the singer

The Land of the Midnight sun is eager participating and has already send quite peculiar songs over the years - even risking not receiving any votes. No wonder that Norway shares the all-over-the-years list of nil-points-countries. The most commercial success of a Norwegian entry for Eurovision has been made by Secret Garden with "Nocturne" in 1995. They have started a world career and sold over 300 million copies of their albums. The music is stunning - traditional style with classical and mystical elements.
With this kind of music this years artist Christine Guldbrandsen likes to follow the steps of Secret Garden. Her "Dance of the Elves" is accompanied by the typical violin of the Hardanger Fjord and will be sung in Norwegian! The question is, if such a quiet song will be successful in the year 2006 with 23 strong competitors.
