Information about the singer

After an absence of 25 years, the small prinicipality of Monaco (2km² only!) has started the second debut last year at the Eurovision Song Contest. Lots of things have changed over the years, so Monaco also had some difficulties to represent an up to date song to an international audience. They could not reach last years final round - to boring and cheap was the sound of "Notre Planète" - even if they used an illuminated cape on stage. Why don't they send stars like Alizée or Mylène Farmer to the contest where the quality is guaranteed? The only victory was brought by Séverine with "Un banc, un abre, une rue" in 1971. Monacan entries always shaped up well in fomer years and became hits like "Toi, la musique et moi" sung by Mary Christy (The Hague 1976). Due to the return of Monaco the rate of French sung songs has risen and made the contest more colorful.

This years entry is far better and they are going to present a great song. Lise Darly is singing "Tout de moi" - a song with a great orchestral arrangement - will positively be different from the other songs. A quiet song with a great dramaturgy which will spread lots of glamour to the contest. A place in the final must be possible!
