The successes in the recent years proofed that the Danish music industry is up to day in the international taste. Unique is still the Eurovision 2001 in Copenhagen. All Danes were in Eurovision-fever and very excited to host this big event. In every bar and restaurant even on the streets you were able to listen people singing and swinging to the Danish song. Copenhagen was THE Eurovision city. This year the Danish Television DR will also host the Jubilee Eurovision Song Contest in October. This is going to be a very special event with the highlights of 50 years and there are going to be many well known artists. In this years "real" Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev Jacob Sveistrup will perfom "Tænder på Dig" for Denmark. The song has jazz elements and a typical Danish sound. The melody is catchy and stays a bit longer in the mind. This year the Danes will definitely go to the Final!
