Since 1993 Bosnia-Herzegovina has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest. As a former republic of Yugoslavia the country always received a special apreciation by the international Song Contest audience. The country's greatest success was a 7th rank with Dino & Patrice singing the extraordinary song "Putnici" in Jerusalem 1999.
But there is no "Balkan-pop" any more - it's disco now! This year Bosnia-Herzegovina tries to bring a fresh and new sound to the Eurovision. The Croatian singer and composer Vesna, who sang the fantastic "Everything I want" in Tallinn 2002 for Croatia, has written "In the Disco" for Deen. He will represent Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Qualifying Round in Istanbul. The past has proven that an impressive stage performance can turn out to be a big plus in order do get a song noticed - just remember those winning songs from Dana International, Marie N and Sertab Erener. This year such a presentation can be expected from Deen. The song is fast, melodic and catchy - a professional choreography could get Bosnia-Herzegovina into the Top 5 this year.
