Information about the singer

The Dutch had to pause last year, due to the bad result in 2001. This year the 32 years old Esther Kathinka Hartkamp from Rotterdam is going to start for the Netherlands. Esther also had the chance to sing in the British "A song for Europe" show, but she also had the offer to sing in the Dutch final, so she preferred to represent her home country.

Esther is a big fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and her greatest dream - to be on stage one time - has become reality in Riga on the 24th of May. The modern and catchy song could guarantee the Netherlands a starting position in 2004.

The composers are the same of the 1999 entry "One good reason" sung by Marlayne. There occurred some technical problems during the voting, because SMS have been received too late. But this didn't change anything in the ranking, so Esther was able to go to Riga.
