Information about the singer
The 24-years-old Francine Jordi will represent Switzerland this year with the french title "Dans le jardin de mon ?me" (In the garden of my soul). It is another ballad from Switerland, as we are used to ballads in the history of Swiss contributions, with wich they were quite successful during the years. Switzerland has won at last in Dublin 1988 with Céline Dion.
Francine was born in small village near Interlaken. Her first musical experiences she got from folk music, which is very popular in Switzerland. She appeared on over 150 concerts and took part at the "Grand Prix der Volksmusik". Francine also attended the conservatory in Neuchatel.
Now, Francine would like to show her talent to the world. There is also a German, an English and a dancefloor version of this song, which is available all over Europe.
On Saturday she will present her song in a transparent (!) dress!!! We are excited! We will see, if she can convince the 160 million tv spectators.
